I agree about actual and reported numbers, this was never more apparent than during the last season of the Fire. Kinda like I would try and buy an extra couple of tickets in my section on the glass and they were all "sold out" in that section only to see us 3 as the only ones in the section for the game. It still happens today with my section at the FWCC when I try to trade in tickets for others.

How plain to I have to be. I did the head count for several years and the estimate. So did one other. They never relied on turnstile count, sold tickets, season tickets or anything until CHL. They got the numbers just never used them. Few did during the WPHL. Austin and Waco showed sellout after sellout. Never happened. I don't do it now so I am not sure how accurate it is. But when I did it they would always inflate the report.
Strange, but then maybe not Slapper. I've asked the usher's supervisor for that count and she politely says she's not allowed to discuss it.

You sense from the Brahmas' request, not to release that info, they don't want you to know just how many really attended. Anyone in attendance could take two pictures and do a head count from them. Once you did that and compared the difference, you'd get an idea what the fudge factor was.

Attendance numbers there are two, the actual count (people actuall comming thru the gate) and the reported count (which includes all season ticket holders, all coorporate tickets and all comp tickets given away). Two very different numbers to say the least. If you really want to know an actual count ask the usher's in the main lobby, they have to give the club the actual gate figure from all entrances.
They were not based on tangible items, I guess would be a nice way to put it. I am more comfortable with 01-02 and 02-03. I feel like there are about 2,500 die hard hockey fans in Fort Worth. If the team is losing and it snows the number is under 500. I have been to several of these. The 500 number is also good for a losing season, Tuesday night, two...
