Crease, glad to add a little different angle onto the topic for you. That is really what forums like this are all about, different people, different opinions and in the end trying to just a learn and teach a little through all of our thoughts... Glad to see you still posting, keep it up, we always need some new perspectives around here to keep us on our toes...

Welcome Crease, I must say I am enjoying your post. You know sometimes you just can't make some people happy no matter "HOW HARD YOU TRY" then you have other people that just like to complain just for the heck of it. This is a forum for hockey fans to express there thoughts, opinions, idea rather good or bad. Having hockey back is one of the greatest gifts that I could of received this year. Win or lose I will be there to cheer, beat the glass, cry after a real good butt...

Drew, Great answer I agree with everything you said. I suppose I have become accustomed to the same results year after year with the Brahmas. As a paying consumer I should expect only the best product to be delivered. Thanks for the different perspective.

Drew, I agree a winning record and championship team would be awesome. But how can we put so many expectations on a team that is rebuilding? The great thing about minor league sports is that for the most part you don't know what to expect from year to year.

The problem I have with this train of thought is because it breeds complacency and mediocrity. When these are accepted as ok, then we rarely see great things from that sports franchise. Just in the CHL,...

Coach Wildfong has the same expectations. He said so himself at the first press conference. His enthusiasm is rather contagious....

Cats do it and so did basketball with no following. You bet your sweet XXX they could. New franchises in this league have done it time and again. Show them the money and have the ability to build a team not a troop of trained seals.

Crease, as you know every year has been a rebuilding year for the Brahmas. If players were resigned, the coaching staff was replaced. I don't look on this year as being any different from previous years. Not even with the new minority owners, as minority owners have come and gone. However, these latest minority owners have a stronger hands-on approach than some of the others.

We have affordable and fun hockey back, what could be better than that!

A winning record and a championship. If you want to be successful and sought after in the DFW market, you better be a winner. Not saying it is right or wrong, just the reality of this market. It is funny they were just talking about this subject this morning on ESPN radio. How in DFW it is feast or famine, nothing in between when it comes to sports support. This is not the case in all...

Crease, keep posting. I'm much like you in that I've always got a half-full glass. I've been lambasted, roasted, dog-cussed and, once in a great while, agreed with on this board. Some of these knuckleheads are set so firm in their ways you are never gonna change 'em, but I keep posting anyway. Kinda like the slow kid that sticks a branch into a hornets nest just to see the reaction. That being said, have fun...

I was told he went to visit family in Canada for about a week. Didn't sounds like anything but a little r&r before the season really gets close.

It's sort of quiet out there...NYTEX Sports. Went by to hug Mike and tell him I missed him while in Canada, but...he, some dude I don't know and Frank were locked in a very serious "closed door meeting". ...............I wonder if he just doesn't like to hug?

"Crease", if you think it's bad now...wait until the season is underway. Poor play by individual players or the team will result in nasty, nasty posts. But if you have been "lurking" around the board you know that. I'm glad you are adding your thoughts to a board that for all practical purposes was dead in the water except for a few of us die-hards who refused to let it die.

Nope "Crease" its open to all. We have a few seagulls from time to time but all groups do. What I think is being referred to is a poster writing a relatively new posting something like, lets all be positive and not post these things, or give them a chance. These are legitimate posts but even more so if followed up through time with more posts showing more ideas than just "don't post..." about this or that.

I have been following the Brahmas since their inception and it seems that the Brahma fan is never happy. This forum is full of examples of people complaining about the most idiotic things. We didnt have Brahma Hockey last year and we have them back, thanks to some hard work from managment. Quit complaining and enjoy the fact that we have the Brahmas back.
