My personal feeling is we need an experienced, possibly even a veteran status, goalie to take about half the games on. I think Larry is great and has a bright future, but he needs someone to take about half the games for another year. It is not uncommon in this league to have 2 good keepers that split time and win consistenly because of the rest. With the red line gone, you know the SOG will increase...

I think this is really the hardest spot to fill. Usually this entails vet status players or players willing to step out of the AHL/ECHL ranks. We need 2 top scorers to be competitive.

In the CHL, you better have some decent size or alot of speed. We haven't had either the last few years. I would prefer to see big, physical defenseman with smaller, quicker forwards. It seems that size isn't as important on the front line the last few years if you look at the top teams...it is more about heart, quickness and even toughness.

It is a requirement from our owner and GM. The question is will the person that is named be able to handle the job. This is a role that is hard to fill well. Every team has one, but only a few are truly effective. The specs can't be put in a box either, but one thing that is usually there is emotion and a little of an attitude...
