Hey Brahma Nation!!! Well, rumors travel fast in this business and I was getting congrats phone calls a week ago from people in the Dallas organization. Heres the dealio... The New Jersey Devils did infact contact me last week and we had a nice "feel me out" conversation. A job was not officially offered untill yesterday when they flew me up there to meet with me. This is a position that I have turned down several times in the past and believe me... I kicked my ass till it was numb when I watched them skate that cup around... TWICE! I have become good friends with the training staff and worked with the Head Equipment Manager here in Dallas for a few years. Well, long story short... I was offered one of the Assistant positions yesterday and I'll be damned...I TOOK IT! I leave Cow-Town this Saturday morning for good. I will miss everyone here in Fort Worth and would like to thank everyone in the Brahmas organization for everything they have done for me over the past ... how many has it been... 9 years now. I would also like to thank the Brahmas Booster Club for everything they have done for myself and the players. Gina, I will miss you the most. This has definately been the best state I have ever lived in and by far these have been the best years of my life! Now if ya'll will excuse me, I must return to the gym to lift more weights to get ready to carry that 30 some odd pound cup around next spring. Best of luck to the Brahmas... I will still be watchin the stats.
