I totally agree with you Kathy. Most all booster clubs do have those provisions. The old booster club did have that provision in their bylaws (mentioned above)
and nothing has been done. I am not trying to stir the pot. I am making sure that the past and present membership, of the old booster club, understands what is
going on or for that matter, what is not going on. Those members are the ones that worked very hard for that money over the last nine years. It is about
accountability.

Well, I thought I might add my two cents on this..... When I heard that the old club was being replaced, one of my first thoughts was to the many hours of hard work that had gone into supporting both this team
and its players. I was one that dedicated time, money and hard work into providing a good name to the club and its reputation with the league and the incoming
players. I knew that this was the time of year that the club should be spending a large amount of money to get ready to house the players for the year. I
was hoping that the club in being dissolved might see fit to provide some of its money to insure that the players coming to town would be taken care of in the
apartment items that we have always provided. I sent a email to the president and asked what the club was going to do with their funds and see if they would
provide some of it to the players in donations of housing items. I was not asking for them to donate to the new club. Not per see, to the new club but to
provide apartment items for the players. This was what the purpose of the club had been since its inception. I made two requests but I never got a response
from either one. On one posts, I read where they were questioning on whether the old club was dissolved..... that was voted on at the last meeting. The club
was dissolved at that time.

I bet a call or letter to the Tarrant County District Attorney or the Texas AG's office would bring a response...or a summons.

Possibilities of dirty laundry are out and I am sure some feel better to mention all this on the Board. Thanks seem to be flying for taking sides, I guess. My
point is, short of asking the question in public there has been no answer. I don't see where you are better off this moment than last, other than we can
smell something but it may or may not be skunk.
If as Gina said, the club was disbanded then part of that was to deal with the money. If there are no officers and the club is gone then there is no one left to act. So ask the question, "Sherri, who gets the money?" If they did not follow the rules I would assume some member would have to file a court related document to force action. It also depends how they were organized and were they organized as a club, a business, and/or a non-profit. If there is an account and no one left to act the funds eventually go to the State. No dirty laundry - just preventive. There is no feeling better by airing this on the board. I don't really understand that. This board is here for all
fans of the Brahmas including past booster club members. All I was pointing out was I asked for answers before and never received a response until I went to
the meeting. It was announced that the money would be going to charity. As a formality of closing the club the money on account, by the bylaws, would go to
charity. For all the members of this club thoughout the years, this site is the perfect place to respond to let all of us know where that money was donated.
We would like to insure that it also went to the charities that the members requested and what amount was divided among them.

I would welcome any information from the old officers (Sheri, Amanda, Janet, and Bobbie) from the old booster club.
1. Accounting of all monies that were left in the checking account ($4000). 2. A timeline for the disbursement. 3. The CPA (or person ) that is handling the disbursement of the $4000. 4. Name of the charity/charities that will be receiving the money.

Which Janet are you asking for? We have not been a member for over a year orm so and even then My Janet was not one of the officers for several years before
that. I noticed at different times the old Booster Club site had not been brought up to date!!!
