Nothing new here. Still think Nytex could have rented the extra arena to the Flyers. Of course they would have to play on dates the Brahmas were not playing and they would have to pay the Brahmas for signage and 80% of concession sales.

National Basketball Association Development League: The NBADL is getting ready to start its 2007-08 season with 14 teams, up from 12 teams in the last season.
The Arkansas RimRockers and Fort Worth Flyers will not return, but the league has added new teams called the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Iowa Energy, Rio Grande
Valley Vipers and Utah Flash.

Oh if a few would have just listened to a few others...
So how did that work out for ya?! A few of us could have saved some people alot of money, but what do we know right? BTW, I still believe that the Flyers accomplished what the City Mgr's office wanted - the Brahmas gone. They knew that the Flyers wouldn't last from the beginning, it was just a vehicle to accomplish what they couldn't do without it.... So FW goes from having 3 minor league teams down to 1 and that one has it's own facility and relies on no one. Funny though how they are the most successful of all 3 and continue to improve on and off the playing field. Best in I told you so... Drew |

The Cats are the third team and they are a huge success, at least record wise. They get good press from the ST but I think the City "leaders"
couldn't care less. What do you hear about the westside arena to replace the Will?

Haven't heard much lately on the new "Bass" arena. I know our church still has a building on part of the land that is the whole development (we
rent it from the Stock Show people). Alot of the land from Camp Bowie to I-30 on the east side of Montgomery is owned by the FW Stock Show&Rodeo group
(Event Facilities Ft Worth Inc) and is continously being bought up.
I will snoop around and see if anything turns up. Drew |

New AHHS Ag facility has been completed. That was to be a part of the whole thing.

Everything I keep hearing has the arena next to the Will Rogers Complex. Did I miss womething? The AHHS ag facility is in far west Fort Worth, according to the
Star Telegram.

It has an area to be built and be a part of the new complex on Montgomery. It goes along with the other, last I heard.

Lets call city cable and see if they will reschedule all the reruns from last year of the basketball games. It will be years before many will realized they are
no longer here. It would be great use of the air time and tape used...
