I think you are correct in your assumption that their big guy decided to draw Robin's attention from Mr. Thompson. Once the fight began and Snake got a better hold, it was even trade for the first couple of punches. Then Robin landed at least one or maybe two that staggered the Bat. then things turned serious and Robin delivered several directly to front face. One push and the Bat went down like a lump of clay. They parted and went to the box. Someone seemed to explain how things work to the linesman, finally.

Steve got steamed twice, once early with the penalty to Cameron I think it was on an unsportmanship. Then when he went off on Dan. Snake was in the way so I thought initially it had to do with him. Then he acted like he might take up for Dan and just deck Steve but he sat down. Dan let Steve rant and skate off. The music is so dang loud I can't hear a lot so all I got was the mouthing and finger waving. Steve cornered the bats trainer between periods and after the game. Must have needed some special attention.
