You Brahmas fans are of a sensitive nature. If you read my post, my comments were specifically talking about Chris Thompson and not your team. Mr. Blanding
has great pictures of Thompson's dirty antics. This is not to say that some are necessary in hockey. Chris Thompson is a dirty player, Wildthing, and he
is a disrespectful hockey player. I'm am both glad he got socked and I'm glad the Brahmas won. I think it was a lesson learned for all parties
involved. Here is a synopsis (I know big word for you guys, here's a link to see what it means, click control + left click to follow it, Dictionary:synopsis) of what lessons were learned.
First lesson:
Colorado players are a bunch of thugs (this lesson is readily known throughout the CHL).
Second lesson:
Chris Thompson may have learned that some people don't tolerate extremely disrespectful acts before, during, or after a game. How many of you have played hockey by the way? In my experience, you do not shoot a puck into the net after a game in which you have beat someone. In fact, the only time you shoot a puck in the net is during practice and game times. After the game is for celebrating and not being a total prick. Hence, that's why Chris Thompson got decked. Now I did not see what the Colorado players did after he was on the ground and only heard about it after I posted my comment. So I didn't know they came and put some extra shots on him afterwards. Chris Thompson is still a punk and I'm glad he got decked.
Third lesson:
Looking at the suspensions, we can all still agree that the CHL still caters to Colorado. More players would have been suspended if this were any other team in the league.
Fourth lesson:
Chris Thompson got knocked the hell out and he deserved it. Unfortunately it had to be a cheap shot but oh well, he still needed that wake up call. He'll think twice before he goes around flipping pucks in nets at the end of the games and taunting benches after he is on a team that has been swept.
Fifth lesson:
There is no such thing as a Mudbug angel. In fact, our players are pretty respectful compared to most teams around the league and I think that is our downfall. I like our style of play but I don't like how the Mudbugs get pushed around all over the ice during the playoffs.
Bottom line is that I like the Brahmas and their players (excluding Thompson). Scott Muscutt was retarded for being so strict about training camp issues with Blair Manning. You know he wanted to play for the 'Bugs this year but Muscutt told him he actually had to attend training camp and work for his spot. Blair "Whining" is one of my favorite hockey players because he plays the officials well with his political "whining" and he is a team player. I don't need to go one about this, I can put it elsewhere in another topic. God knows you guys need could use a post with proper pronunciation and correctly spelled words.
So with all that said, good luck in the finals Brahmas. The CHL handed you your golden ticket today. Enjoy the Chocolate Factory. Arizona OR Laredo in 6.
