Where do you start...? Two years ago, I was at the Fort Worth City Hall being insulted by the mayor and being told we just were not worth it. Hockey was not worth their trouble. I truly did not know when we would ever have hockey again. There were friends that we did not know if we would ever be with again doing what we all love. Mike told us not to give up that he and Stuart would keep up the fght and for us to keep the faith. Mike, You and I have become good friends and I truly appreciate all you have done for hockey in Fort Worth, We may not have always seen eye to eye but we were always working towards the same goal. Thank you.

We heard stories for a year and waited for something to come out that was a done deal. Then the news came out that Blue Line would become Nytex and hope was born. We heard rumors about coaches and names were mentioned. When I heard Dan's name, I knew what he stood for and the attitude he would bring to a team. It was a new start ----------why not a new coach that knew this league and had done recruiting for a team that was always in the thick of everything. I felt that he was the right guy for our job.

The season started and we found that this kid knew his stuff. We started strong and then went into a little downhill fall for a week or two. But, you see, our COACH knows how to motivate and bring out the best in his players. He knows because he always played the way we want our players to play. With their hearts.

This season was a dream for all of us long time fans. We have a team that we all have asked for years for. Two years ago, none of long time fans could have dreamed that right now, we would be where we are.

Thank you Mike, Frank, and Sal for all you did to make it work. Thank you Stuart for keeping this team intact and making sure Fort Worth fans had their team here. Sal and Stuart, I wish you had been here for the playoffs. You would have been so proud.

Thanks are not enough for Dan and Forbes. I hope that you have enjoyed this as much as we have. I always had the mentality before if the team will just come out and play 60 minutes of hockey - win or lose - I would be happy. I had never really gone to the game with confidence that we could win. Just play hard and we would be happy. Now, we too, have that winning attitude and know that there is no team that we cannot beat. Play hard, play smart and play with all your hearts..........and you did. Thanks for everything and for a wonderful year of games and memories. Here is to the future and hockey here...........

Thanks to all the players and their wives and being willing to come here and play in an unknown arena with unkown management and fans. I hope that your memories here are as great as the memories that y'all have made for us. I hope that you felt welcome and that you each enjoyed your time here. Please know know how much we appreciate each of you. We hope to see each of you here next year and we can start the ride all over again. But, with a much bigger can do attitude and with an anticipation of what we can accomplish next year.

Lastly, I want to thank the fans. I think this playoff series we created an atmosphere that visiting teams will not want to have to experience. Let's continue this and build on it. Quite frankly we were awesome. Let's work toward getting the award for the toughest arena to come in and play in. Let's be loud and proud. I know I am.
