What happened, you tried out for the team and wasn't good enough or let me guess one of our boys stole the girl from you. What is it? Time will tell what will happen with our team, unless you are the "Great and Wise Teller of the Future" and if you are I suggest you spend your time doing something more profitable. Actually I think I will go play some golf!!! Got any balls.

Lucky Sheppard goal huh? Could you do it? When we win it's luck, when we lose it's the way it should be? Give me a break. We forced a game 7 on the defending champions who won the final game by 1pt - that's accomplishment in my book! Now you want to get on us (Brahmas fans) for griping you out for your opinion but where do you get off attacking a fan for routing for their team? Since you aren't an Eagle or Bucks fan and you hadn't mentioned Sundogs I'm going to take it your team was watching the game in their homes on CHL TV like everyone else. So you don't have room to talk about what is or is not an accomplishment. I mean really, how dare you? Now that's DIRTY -are you and Thompson brothers? I.I.B.>Gotta Love This Game!

It's a playoff to see who gets in the playoffs. I do agree with you that the format from last year needed to be changed. It was horrible. I am happy however that you guys get so fired up about the truth. Seriously, if this wasn't the truth in back of you mind, would you get so bent out of shape about it? I mean you sound like you are having a coronary typing on your keyboard. It's the truth. Also enjoy Danny while you have him. He's a loyal Mudbug and we'll see him after Muscutt leaves next year. IceIce, yes I do predict the future. I can also see yours. You won't have a team to root for in two years unless you guys get a new barn and some Brahmas fans to fill them. Take the frustration you have with me to your management and be proactive instead of whining on this board.

The CHL is not an example of one. It is a playoff before the playoff. Do you know what college hockey is? NCAA? Learn some stuff about the game before you go posting. Each of the four (4) division regular season champions (Northwest, Northeast, Southwest and Southeast) will be seeded either 1st or 2nd in their conference heading into the playoffs based on point totals. The next three (3) highest teams in each conference's regular season standings based on point totals, regardless of division, will be seeded 3rd, 4th and 5th in each conference and will also qualify for post-season play. - The playoffs will consist of four (4) rounds. (Conference Quarter-Finals - Best of 3, Conference Semi-Finals - Best of 7, Conference Finals - Best of 7, Ray Miron President's Cup Finals - Best of 7). - The opening round (Conference Quarter-Finals) will feature one (1) separate series of play in each conference, with the 4th seed playing the 5th seed. Both Conference Quarter-Finals series must be completed no later than the first Thursday after the completion of the regular season. - The second round (Conference Semi-Finals) will consist of the victorious two (2) teams from each conference's opening round, along with the top three (3) seeds in each conference. The 1st seed will play the winner of the first round series, and the 2nd seed will play the 3rd seed in each conference. - The third round (Conference Finals) will consist of the victorious two (2) teams remaining from each conference, with Conference Semi-Final seeding remaining in effect to determine home ice advantage. - The fourth round (President's Cup Final) will consist of the victorious two (2) teams remaining, one from each conference. Home ice advantage in the Ray Miron President's Cup Finals will be awarded to the club with the higher regular season point total, regardless of any earlier playoff seeding. Should two (2) or more teams be tied in points for any seeding issue throughout the playoffs, the following tiebreakers will be used: Most wins, then head-to-head record, then goals for and against differential. There is no mention of a play-in round as you so like to allude to. All 10 teams are considered in the playoffs as of the end of the regular season. As far as the NCAA Hockey TOURNAMENT (hint - a different type of playoff system all together) is not the same as a LEAGUE playoff system. NCAA sports do not have playoffs in the major 4 sports, instead they have tournaments because there are conferences that are independent of an overall league per se. They still have rounds in tourney play though and no one is playing to get into the tournament once invited to the tournament. They are playing to advance to the Final (Frozen) Four finals. BIG difference. Trying to compare the NCAA system to PRO systems is ignorant at best. You can continue to think your Mudbugs are superior to all other teams in this league, but last time I checked there are no banners in your arena post merger. Sure your team won in the WPHL, but seriously that is no comparison to the league that is the CHL today. Whatever makes you sleep better at night though... Drew

Also, the CHL can call the first "round" play-in the Conference Quarterfinals but it's amazing that only two teams are playing from each division. Let me think...how many teams make the playoffs...hmm...oh that's right 5 from each division. So you are telling me three teams get a bye that week? Man that's some crazy quarterfinal round. At this point, it's just a matter of what you call the quarterfinal and what I call a play-in system. Do you not see the fiscal reasons for calling the play-in round part of the playoffs? Now you have a franchise who didn't even exist previously that has made the playoffs. It's amazing that you're too ignorant to realize it. Not surprised though, it seems like 3/4 (that's 75% Brahmas fans) of this board are really ignorant and do not realize it. You just happen to prove my point.

Do you even follow the CHL? Seriously, it's practically been Colorado vs. Laredo in the finals for a while now. Man, just stop posting, you seriously are dumb. I bet your probably a construction worker or something (even though your sn says coach). I just don't see how you could possibly coach anything. I actually cringe at the thought that you may coach in high school and teach our students. What school do you teach at so I can be sure not send my kids there?

My frustration I have with you has nothing to do with management. You can say all the opinions you want, you express your feelings to your degree as long as it's in laws of the board. I just said I didn't appreciate you telling the fans NOT to think the Brahmas accomplished anything. Whether you think they had or hadn't is a matter of opinion but to tell someone they should not give accolades to their own team is just absurd. I wouldn't tell a Wichita Thunder fan not to cheer for their team because it's all part of sportsmanship. Now me going to the Management about that would make me sound as crazy as ... well you! Brahmas could fold in two years or in one and Dan could leave tomorrow - I would wish him well and thank him for a terrific season - but as long as the Brahmas are still standing, I'm routing for them all the way. Yep, you have some banners...how many rings does Bossier have in the CHL? I believe it is the same amount as the Brahmas. I am not telling you anything, I showed you what the CHL calls their playoff system. You have a problem with their terminology, take it up with them. Regardless of the wording, it is a first round in a playoff system. Are you even reading what your writing? Yes, 5 teams make the playoffs and 3 get first round byes (I thought that was pretty well common knowledge, I guess you didn't fully understand that until I posted the official rules of the playoff system)...if the CHL had another team in each division you would see 6 in each conference and 2 teams with a bye most likely... Hey noone is arguing it is the best system, but that doesn't negate that there is a first round... Financials aren't a part of this discussion so save that for the next discussion of why the CHL has their playoff system setup the way they do. Obviously, I follow the CHL or I wouldn't be posting on a CHL board...if you had read anything of my posts, you know I am not just into the Brahmas, but have been watching the CHL in various incarnations now for nearly 40 yrs...seriously, you really need to think before posting some of this stuff....
