So Brassbug14, I am confused what side of the fence are you straddling? Besides the fact that you hate Chris Thompson you really have not offered up anything
else. If you can not tell Brahma fans are very passionate about our hockey club. IMO I don't think Chris is a dirty player at all, the whole shooting the
puck in the net after the buzzard was just another excuse of the Eagles being sore losers. I think this was a great series and look forward to the next
season. Maybe you should change your name to "Mr. Correctol".
Congratulations guys to a great season. BTW, I didn't run spell check just for you.

Yeah all 100 of you are extremely passionate. I hope you know your franchise will be non-existent once the union begins representing the players. Don't
believe me check out Greg Rajan's links that are in the left hand margin of your page. Seriously, the Texas/Ft. Worth Brahmas have about 1 or 2 more
seasons and it's a bad thing. I'm not happy by it and I actually hope Bossier Shreveport will be safe. The good thing is that Colorado will not be
able to buy their players anymore.

Don't try to correct their spelling seriously. They take great offense to that. This will be a non-existent board in a couple of days and a non-existent franchise in a couple of years. The Brahmas put on one hell of a showing last night though. I loved the game and they had plenty of opportunities to at least tie, if not win that game. I'm disappointed because if Laredo pulls out the last two games of their series, we are back to the same ol' boring CHL final. Can anyone say monopoly? Texas fans, the kind of run that your team had this year come few and far between for the other franchises (excluding Laredo and Colorado). Don't be disappointed, your boys put on a great show last night and Chris Thompson showed some glimpses of being an okay hockey player. It was a great game and I'm sorry that your season ended. I honestly think the better team did win even if they do cheat to get their players. If you watched the game though, you can tell that Colorado markets its team way better than most franchises. Did you see the pyrotechnics at the end of the game? Pretty impressive and the fans were "uber" loud. It made for a good game. |

I agree that the show was nice. We have heard for many years that our hockey club would not be around, but somehow we always seem to pull through. If your
facts have any meat to them, then we will have to enjoy them while we can.
100 fan eh! Well the 100 fans are the greatest fans ever. You still can not take away the fact that we had an awesome season lead my an awesome coach. StephenAdm your jealous because our club is AWESOME, we set so many records and achieved so many goals that win or lose we still came out WINNERS. |

hard to understand? I didn't say Thompson was a dirty player either, i just said that i have seen him do some dirty things when he played us in Bossier,
but that is his job...he is an agitator. So what is the big deal? I also said that you had to do whatever you had to do to win it...never said anything
about Thompson shooting the puck or anything.
I mean seriously?? I have never gotten blasted this much for coming and wishing a team good luck in the playoffs and throwing my support their way. Can anyone explain this or is this just how the fans act over in TX? Because it seems to me that yall need all the fans you can get. |

Also, what records did you set? I could see that you probably set some team records but that was because your franchise has pretty much sucked over the years except for this year and the year you made the Finals waaaaaaay back in 1990's. Also, you may think you accomplished a lot this year but let's analyze what actually happened. You had to play your way into the playoffs with a best of three series against the Riverqueens. You beat a Mudbugs team whose coach is notorious for sliding into the postseason and getting railed early. You beat a Colorado team off a lucky Sheppard goal in OT and had one strong game to make it through game 6 where your dirtiest player disrespected the other team and caused a melee where he got creamed (hypothetically because we still don't know if he was faking) and got beat by a team missing two players and skating short. Wow, you sure did accomplish a whole lot. I guess considering you guys were non-existent last year, that makes you certainly accomplished. Congrats, now go play some golf with the Mudbugs, Riverqueens, Jackalopes, Ice Bats, Scorpions, and the Steelhounds. You don't accomplish anything unless you win the cup. As the great words of Ricky Bobby ring in our ears "Second place is the first loser". You weren't even second in the division. Losers! |

There are multiple leagues that include a bye in the FIRST ROUND of the playoffs for certain teams (sometimes 1 in a conf, sometimes 2). Ever heard of the NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE? Drew |

For any team to make it to the playoffs is an accomplishment and getting pass the first round is an even better accomplishment.(BTW Drew thinks for setting things straight on the playoff system). Sweeping the Mudbugs is an accomplishment - especially after they made the remark in preseason that playing the Brahmas was at least an easy 8 wins and not only sweeping them but being the ONLY team to have a winning record against the Bugs this season. 35-12-1 in the last 48 games is a great accomplishment for a team that was non-existent last year! Lucky Sheppard goal huh? Could you do it? When we win it's luck, when we lose it's the way it should be? Give me a break. We forced a game 7 on the defending champions who won the final game by 1pt - that's accomplishment in my book! Now you want to get on us (Brahmas fans) for griping you out for your opinion but where do you get off attacking a fan for routing for their team? Since you aren't an Eagle or Bucks fan and you hadn't mentioned Sundogs I'm going to take it your team was watching the game in their homes on CHL TV like everyone else. The first round is not technically the first round. It's a playoff to see who gets in the playoffs. I do agree with you that the format from last year
needed to be changed. It was horrible. I am happy however that you guys get so fired up about the truth. Seriously, if this wasn't the truth in back of you
mind, would you get so bent out of shape about it? I mean you sound like you are having a coronary typing on your keyboard. It's the truth.
Also enjoy Danny while you have him. He's a loyal Mudbug and we'll see him after Muscutt leaves next year. IceIce, yes I do predict the future. I can also see yours. You won't have a team to root for in two years unless you guys get a new barn and some Brahmas fans to fill them. Take the frustration you have with me to your management and be proactive instead of whining on this board. |

Um also, I do know what a playoff system with a bye week is. The CHL is not an example of one. It is a playoff before the playoff. Do you know what college
hockey is? NCAA? Learn some stuff about the game before you go posting. If you like the game so much, learn a little about it.

There is no mention of a play-in round as you so like to allude to. All 10 teams are considered in the playoffs as of the end of the regular season. As far as the NCAA Hockey TOURNAMENT (hint - a different type of playoff system all together) is not the same as a LEAGUE playoff system. NCAA sports do not have playoffs in the major 4 sports, instead they have tournaments because there are conferences that are independent of an overall league per se. They still have rounds in tourney play though and no one is playing to get into the tournament once invited to the tournament. They are playing to advance to the Final (Frozen) Four finals. BIG difference. Trying to compare the NCAA system to PRO systems is ignorant at best. You can continue to think your Mudbugs are superior to all other teams in this league, but last time I checked there are no banners in your arena post merger. Sure your team won in the WPHL, but seriously that is no comparison to the league that is the CHL today. Whatever makes you sleep better at night though... Drew |

amazing that only two teams are playing from each division. Let me think...how many teams make the playoffs...hmm...oh that's right 5 from each division.
So you are telling me three teams get a bye that week? Man that's some crazy quarterfinal round.
At this point, it's just a matter of what you call the quarterfinal and what I call a play-in system. Do you not see the fiscal reasons for calling the play-in round part of the playoffs? Now you have a franchise who didn't even exist previously that has made the playoffs. It's amazing that you're too ignorant to realize it. Not surprised though, it seems like 3/4 (that's 75% Brahmas fans) of this board are really ignorant and do not realize it. You just happen to prove my point. |

your sn says coach). I just don't see how you could possibly coach anything. I actually cringe at the thought that you may coach in high school and teach
