CC and Austin might not be in the same cities or even in the league come next season. Is this really any different than any other season in the CHL world though? Seems we see this happen with at least one franchise every off season.

What are other good cities are available in the CHL market? Surely there is a valid option for these 2 teams to move to, but maybe not. We know there is already another CHL team coming to the greater DFW market, so that is out. Maybe Abilene, Lubbock, San Angelo or Waco would be up for another round of minor league hockey. Arkansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Utah all fall inside the CHL territory with no current teams...maybe one will move there and open up shop...

You have to wonder why teams fade in certain towns, while others hold fast for years on end, and in some cases with low attendance.

Hadn't heard that the Allen situation was out. I am not sure if Mansfield will go with Global with the current city leadership.

Possible that Austin could move up the I35 corridor somewhere? There are multiple cities with areas already in place, not sure if any have ice plants though.

San Angelo might be an option, but I think that the old Lubbock group has been looking that over for a yr now, iirc. I don't see the CHL allowing one franchise to leave CC only to be replaced by another, doesn't seem to make much sense, but weirder things have happened...
