John, the liberal news media would like for this to be old news but patriotic Americans will not let that happen. Drew, for me I don't want a President
who was raised in a muslim family sitting in the Oval Office.

Face it Drew, you are fighting a losing battle here on this subject. These guys are not interested in facts or logic, they are more interested in mudslinging
and name calling. They take small petty things like not putting your hand over your heart and not wearing a tie pin and blow them up because they really cant
find anything of substance. Seriously-the jihadist-the muslim- highlighting and capitalizing HUSSEIN (like someone is going to read this and really think that
hes related to Sadaam Hussien or something), I mean its all on a 5th grade mentality really. I read most of them just for the laughs I can get, but what scares
me is that these are people that, I think, are older than me. EEEEEEEEKKKKKKK !!!!!!!!!!!!
As for "W" and his drug history, well yes some still cant accept that he once was a "coca-cola" cowboy, and I dont mean the drink either. Blaming Congress for the price of oil- good one. (how about asking Mr. Cheney about that one, maybe they discussed it in the secret meeting he had with all the big oil companies a few weeks after he and "w" got elected---you all remember that secret meeting that didnt stay a secret, you know the one where the administration did away with all the restrictions and penalties for pollutiing the air that the Clinton adminstration put in place------Well mr. cheney and mr. bush Im sure all those companies appreciate the money you saved them but now ALL of us get to enjoy worse air for it-thanks for nothing!!!! As for saying that were worse off since the Dems took control of Congress---well you are true sort of, but you really need to go back almost 8 years, because this country was WAY better off before this criminal adminstration took office in Jan. 2001 This sums it up really:"To ELECT an ENEMY of the COUNTRY to the PRESIDENCY is an insult................................. Simply one of the most idiotic, classless, senseless things Ive ever read on this board. Yes people, unfortunately BIGOTRY is still alive and well in America in the year 2008. Hopefully we can overcome the short sightedness of these types of people and get this country TOGETHER and to make it a better place for ALL to live. BIGOTRY, the most simple and purest form of IGNORANCE. |

There are less than six months until the election, an election that will decide the next President of the United States. The person elected will be the
president of all Americans, not just the Democrats or the Republicans. To show our solidarity as Americans, let's all get together
and show each other our support for the candidate of our choice. It's time that we all came together, Democrats and

Hey John................I agree...........politics is something that between friends should not be brought up. Everyone has their own opinions and are
entititled to them. But it all comes down to respect. I respect my friends too much to discuss politics with them. I wish that some of my friends respected
my right to my own opinions sometimes. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard about the damned liberals and had them badmouthed. But I have yet, to
come back to a single one about good old George and Chaney a nd what they have done to this country. Guess you know where I stand now... huh.....

I disagree. If friends can't discuss sports, politics, religion or whatever then they aren't really friends. My closest friend of over 50 years is a
dyed-in-the-wool yellow dog democrat. He and I have nearly come to blows over unions and politics. But our friendship remains strong. He is a bigot and I am a
bigot. Nothing to do with race by the way - we're just bigots and proud of it. I'm hoping he will do the right thing in November and vote for McCain.
If he doesn't we will remain friends.
Bigot: a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices.

OLDBULL40 wrote: The news media has been protrayed as years as being "liberal" yet almost all of the radio media is hardcore Republican, the so called conservative side. The labels liberal and conservative are the biggest disservice to the US political scene today. Let's look at the definitons for liberism and conservatism...
Conservatism -One thing that I would like you to notice... the DATE...these are terms from 150 yrs ago! Do you think they still apply today? I don't think they are even close to what these two parties stand for today...actually very sad... As far as Bush being an addict or not...well for me it was pretty obvious and clear cut, especially when you refer to yourself as "clean" for x amount of years... a quick search on the net will find everything you ever need to know about it... sure his comments after being confronted with his 1976 DUI over 20 yrs later was he didn't really think he was an addict because he stopped on his own, but I will look to my father in law that was an alcholic for nearly 30 yrs that stopped on his own, but he hasn't ever denied he was addicted, in fact all those that I know recovering saying denial is the first sign you are addicted... Here is an article that has some very interesting quotes from Bush and Laura on his drinking- http://www.boston.com/news/politics/president/bush/articles/2000/01/23/george_w_bush/ . Don't get me wrong, I commend him for stopping something in his life that was destroying himself, but that doesn't mean it never happened... Honestly, it was a point to a comment on political people in general from both sides, not necessarily only Bush... no comments on McCain having an affair on his 1st wife or his current wife being a well documented drug addict? Can't look at one candidate and not the other... An "enemy of the country"? In what way? Has he done something that is considered treason? This really degrades your argument, IMO. Actually, I was raised to talk politics and religion, for 2 reasons.... 1.) Always being open to other's views and needs so I may learn something new and 2.) confirming why I truly believe what I believe. I know to many that believe what their parents taught them, not what they learned and made an educated decision on. Not a bad thread, just have to remember in these kind of discussions that the only way to get your view across is to be calm, precise, accurate, reasonable and most importantly respectful of others. Enemy of the country was a poor choice of words. My point was BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA by disrepecting the Flag also disrespected those who served the country.
George never referred to himself as an alchoholic nor has he ever been diagnosed as an alchoholic. But anything that comes between you and the Lord is wrong. GW knew that booze was interfering with his relationship with God and he eliminated it from his life. The print media and large tv networks are liberal. Not my opinion but the result of analysis by various news monitoring organizations. Some recent polls show McCain and Obama in a statistical tie with 20% of respondents undecided. This election will probably be a repeat of the last two. For the sake of the Nation let's hope the outcome is not decided by the Supremes. BrahmasRule, get a grip man!

Thanks Old Bull, I beleive just like you. And anyone that does not show the proper respect for the Flag, and what it stands for, is living here in freedom,
that was paid for by a great number of men who were and are a hell of lot better men than they are.
