Collins Marriott. The team announced that Team President/General manager/Head Coach Chris Stewart is leaving the head coaching position. He has been a coach for 25 years and coached for 9 years in the CHL. Kevin McLelland formerly of the Mississippi RiverKings has been selected to take the head coach position. Chris will still retain his President/General Manager titles.

When Chris was here last season, I watched him somewhat. And, I drew a blank. For the life of me, I couldn't detect a spark of passion he had for his team or the game.

The main reason Stewie stepped down, he was still in a lot of pain. I am truly surprised my McLelland taking over for Stewart. I have not heard that much good about him. You've heard wrong. Mac is a class act. McClelland was named the CHL's Coach of the Year for 2006-07 and was the recipient of the league's Ralph Backstrom Soul of Service Award following the 2007-08 season for "demonstrating the qualities of excellence and dedication to providing outstanding customer service."
