Ok leave Lalante out of this. I know him very well, and he is an incerdibly nice guy. That was really low to bring up his past.
And Borsheim won't back down from anybody in a fight. I have seen him go against some of the big guns in the league, and come out on top. Borsheim is an intimidator, but he won't back down

Well for starts I work with the retarded and have a family member on my mom's side that is Down's and retarded. So I know them really well and this is
not it. Poor choice of words I believe. John drives a special eduction bus by the way and many of us are teachers.
I believe you are referring to the comment about "Lalante". I have not a clue about the case nor am I reacting to it. Someone said that some of the players belonged in jail and ssomeone else said at least one had seen the inside of the jail. Pretty straight forward. Cullen Davis was found innocent a couple of times and he was in jail of course he may have been guilty. No juice senior. Best in Hockey Westy

It's sad that we have to resort to bringing in a players personal life into a hockey board and trash them about it. That does not really show the class
that we have.
Does he make mistakes? Yes, he is human But to trash his personal life on a forum when he can't defend himself is really low. Laplante is a decent goaltender and if you are gonna rip on him do it to his game, not his past. I have a past as well, but like I said it is in the past, just like his.

I have no dog in this conversation, but I will say it is a little of a double standard.... I can't tell you how many times people have said to leave
personal lifes of our players off the board, so I would expect the same level of response about opponents if that is your stance...

I never said I admire him, you put that in my mouth. I have seen him play alot, so I know how he plays. I have seen him fight Mario Joly, Tyler Fleck, and even
Wade Brookbank. So don't tell me he only goes after small guys.

Yep, I did it. I brought up the history of their goaltender. He walked the walk so I talked the talk. Yes, Drew we have said the leave players personal
lives off the board. Yes, that could be a double standard. I think being arrested and put on team suspension is a little different than talking about rumors
about what players did what and etc while in town playing here or information posted about them or their families.
This was on the front page of the paper in Wichita. Sorry to him, but he should learn to control his temper. Actually, he might be a fit for Colorado's team. No offense Fennell but you said he was a really nice guy. Do you know him personally or have you just watched him. I too have watched a player that was a super nice guy play hockey and was loved but that did not stop him from being in jail for domestic abuse. That is a whole different story ----- As for Borsheim....you said he went after Fleck and that was suppose to prove he went after some tough guys. How tall is FlecK? He is a whooping 5' 10"... The Eagles better be ready for the fans tomorrow night. The crowd will be loud, proud and rowdy. We want it. |

To make it clear I do know Laplante personally. And if you read the newspaper article any further you would have read that his fiance was charged with the same
offense he was arrested for. I understand that he commited the crime, never said he didn't, but I don't see why we are bringing that up in a thread
that wasn't even about him to start with? Whether it is a rumor, or something that actually happened it is still their personal life. Justify it any way
you want to, but I still think it is wrong to bring any part of their life outside of hockey into it. This thread should be about hockey and hockey alone, not
about a player's personal life or anything else. I would be the same way if the target wasn't Laplante. I just think it is wrong and shouldn't
happen on here.
As with Borsheim and Fleck, Tyler has been the CHL's hardest hitter for 3 straight years. He may be small size wise, but is well known for his checking and the fact that he has broken glass from hits.
