Allen Game November 11th |

Hey, Rowdy. We ordered our tickets for the game in Allen. Should be sitting up there somewhere near you guys. That guy, Tony Mara, over there at the Allen
Event Center said when he was 15 he helped build Nytex (Blue Line). Turns out his brother, Tim Mara, used to play hockey with our son, Matt Osbourne, at
Richland High. Small world - A real nice young man. Thanks for the phone number.

Maybe try calling the guy...I don't know why they would blow off someone that is going to buy multiple tickets to multiple games...bad business.

I am trying to be realistic, they had thier open house yesterday so I doubt he got to work on our package. I woould think today and tomorrow woudl be spent
promoted their opening night Sunday against the Rays then the bulls game Wednesday. I know they have a Reba concert Saturday but one would think that would be
handled by GEC/GetTix and not the Americans hockey club. So I will be patient until probably Monday morning before I call and get a bit more aggressive with
getting seats secured.

He can't find the mail box...
Westy I would imagine they would rather hand deliver. Probably game night. |

What I DONT want to hear is...Oh sorry, Section 103 is full so we decided to put you across the ice in the best available seats according to the GetTix computer.

I think whatever is done is done... It will be grand as I expect or a lesson well learned. New Hockey Teams rarely get the crap together for a year. Rink Boys
and promises only stand to stretch this. I think this is the thread that would not die. I hope your away experience is great. Mine never have been although I
have chased many. Each had a few good spots but they were always over shadowed by some "nurf" making a creep of themselves. Just remember you are in
their barn with their security good or bad.

Oh no way would I try things in places like Odessa or the Swamp. That is just asking for someone to dump a beer on your head and being attacked by guys that
look like Larry the Cable Guy. Then being escourted out by Buford Pusser and his baseball bat.
And if Allen is loaded with that kind of fans then a different tact will be used by this brahma fan. But seeing that arena and that area of Collin County, and seeing the Allen fans that came to our games at NyTex, including their "fan club" I just see a different group of people. I see a bunch of preppy cheerleaders and corporate Perot Systems business people with trophy wives. Working for Perot I used to call those type "Per robots". Security I expect will be that ex Movie Tavern usher backed up by the guy from the movie "Mall Cop" on his SegWay. We will see which type of fan show up Wednesday. All hockey players are bilingual. We went to an Odessa game last season while visiting family
in Midland. It wasn't bad, but they hated my bell!!!!! Can you imagine that? We lost the game, but they knew we were there!!! Saw Mr. Welch at the game. That barn (Ector County Coliseum) has had Monster Trucks, tractor pulls, circuses and Blue Oyster Cult Concerts. They put ice down where ever they can..... |

Well I hope they keep their pinkie out while drinking tea. Most folks are ok but they like yourself are never happy when you or your team celebrates a win in
their barn...
I hope all your skies are blue and the winds are at your back. Best in hockey Westy |

I got an e-mail this moring from Tony of the Americans:
I have your tickets in hand. We got you some pretty good seats, Sec. 103 Row D seats 11-14. We'll see what happens Wednesday, hopefully our fans can make it a difficult place for road teams to play. Sorry it took so long to get back with you, we have been extremely busy. Tony Marra New Business Development Allen Americans 817.233.8652 972.912.1000 www.allenamericans.com So all is set for Wednesday except that commute up central expressway from Parkland. i'll drop this thread until I can give my take on the game there.
