I was sure there was a reason but it does not not make us feel better trying to win with a rock hung round our neck. May be we are good enough to play day in and out with less players. May be it makes better coaching sense to do this. He dah man. But trying to come up with three goals in the final period must take a toll on players. The production is not there. The announcing team was bemoaning the poor play in the AHL among shooters and the great tender numbers. Razors comment was that anyone able to score a goal had been moved up to the main show.

No real reason to start another I'll just add mine here dear old cogers.

Traditionally the old heads have used Thanksgiving as the first mark of the season. Any corrections have to be in place by Christmas. After that it is a slide downhill. In Fort Worth days the team left in January only to return in late February or early March when we would play every other night until the team and the fans could not see straight.

Many times the old coach departed after a full meal of undigested Turkey but generally it meant you were 10 to 12 games into a 62 games season. The new scheduling and trying to play weekends only has changed some of this but the time lines are still the same. Twelve games in you need to have you team set and unless you have a player sitting out or luck there is little undamaged talent for you to bring in.

In year's past guys had eaten all the European food they could stand, realized the really long train rides, short supplies (like tape and toilet paper) or their wives could find no friends and we fed up and ready to come home. Those guys did not go this year so... We have what we have, give or take.

Maybe if we all got naked more often they would be willing to play like they did last year? Any other thoughts? Cowtown and OB seem to be very positive but they have their crossing fingers behind their backs so I can't tell for sure...
